In the Spotlight: Vital6

We have a fabulous newcomer at the next Piccadilly Market on April 27th in Geelong.
Let me introduce to you Bryce from Vital6 who makes these amazing, cool and funky lightboxes.
My name is Bryce and I am married to Ali and we have 2 beautiful daughters Lyla and Eve. I am employed as a Secondary Art and Design teacher at Maribyrnong College.I graduated from Monash University in the early 90's and majored in Printmaking, in particular stone lithography. Over the years I have worked with various forms of media and exhibited works at galleries.
My business name Vital6 is derived from the vital sixth sense that Carl Jung wrote about and I have only been operating for a few months.
It started with a pop-up shop over summer with Radish and Ruth and other local designers. Since then I have done the Little Creatures monthly market and I've got work in Quirk on Pakington street.
My light box range came about as a result of teaching and being offered some old microscope boxes that were being thrown out. I figured the boxes had character and envisioned the light box idea. For a long time I imagined the visual appeal that a light box would have on my lounge room wall at night.
Apart from my family, my inspiration comes from visually interesting art and design along with the natural environment. Being a surfer I get inspired by the coastal environment particularly down on the Surfcoast and love living so close to this beautiful part of the world.
My aim for Vital6 moving forward is for my light boxes to inspire peoples living spaces and add a unique point of interest.
Make sure you come and see Vital6 at Piccadilly Market Geelong on April 27th
